HORNET ENDURO

20 Car Main Event (100 laps/ 60 minute limit ).

Top 14 cars on time-in automatically advance to the “A” Main.

Remaining cars (max. 12) to run a “B” Main--top 5 will advance to the “A” Main.
If there are more than 26 cars a “C” Main will be run with the top 2 advancing to the “B” Main.

1 “Wild Card” position will be chosen from the remaining “B” Main cars. This position will be chosen prior
to racing and will not be announced until the “B” Main has been completed.

1 Heat Race—A & B ( C & D if needed )—8 cars per heat/8 lap duration.
1 Trophy Dash—A & B ( C & D if needed )

“C” Main—10 -12 laps (if needed)
“B” Main—20 laps.
“A” Main—100 laps (may be adjusted due to time constraints).

ENTRY FEES:
$25 car/driver
$25 per crew member

PAYOUT SCHEDULE:
1 st -$300
2 nd -$225
3 rd -$175
4 th -$150
5 th -$125
6 th -$100
7 th to 10 th -$75
11 th to 17 th -$50
18 th and down-$25
Payouts are based on the days overall totals, not just the Main Event finish.
Actual payout amounts may vary due to car count.

A “Hard Luck” award presented to the most deserving participant.
5 Random prize draws (all participating cars are eligible).

Race day practice for Hornets only:
Gates open at 12:00
Practice runs 1:00 to 2:30 pm

Williams Lake Speedway is hosting a Hornet Event on August 2/3:

HORNET (BONE STOCK) INVITATIONAL AUG. 2/3 2008
Sat. gates open at 3 pm
Time Trials at 6 pm
Racing at 7 pm
Finish at 10:30 pm

Any car that is at the Heartland Toyota Dealer before the gates open gets a free pit pass
Anyone that takes a test drive in a new Tundra gets a free spectator pass

Sunday gates open at 9 am
Time In at 12:00 noon
Racing at 1 pm
Finish before 4 pm

Hornet tow money is $100 to $150 per car
$2000.00 total purse, including tow money
Prize money depends on number of cars in attendance

The Williams Lake organizers are considering a "meet the drivers" day at a local car dealership
The event would run from 10 am to 2 pm tentatively and include a BBQ and some other promotions.

WHO WE ARE

Kent Raceways Society is a non-profit society dedicated to supporting and furthering the sport of stock car racing. The society operates Agassiz Speedway in Agassiz, B.C. It is a 1/4 mile paved oval facility. We rely on volunteers to keep the raceway operating and are proud to be entering our 37th year of race competition. We are pleased to be able to support numerous youth and adult groups in and around our community.

RACING CLASSES

Sportsman: These race cars are completely fabricated from the ground up. Powered by V8 engines and use fiberglas/plastic bodies.

Street Stock: This class uses V8 powered, original steel bodied, mid-size cars from the 70's/80's. Minimal modifications are allowed.

Mini Stock
: A 4-cylinder powered class using modified, import style, cars and trucks.

Hornet
: A basic entry level class using import style cars, maximum 4-cylinder, with no modifications except for safety.
