PLEASE NOTE A CHANGE IN TEST AND TUNE DATES:

September 8th date has been moved back to September 15th


The date for the next General Meeting is Sept.7, 2010 at 7:30 pm at Agricultural Hall in Agassiz


"Agassiz Speedway is happy to announce a new sponsor to the track. Belfor Property Restoration (Abbotsford) will be partial sponsors of the Hornet class for 8 races. Belfor will be paying out $100 for a random A-main car and $50 for a random B-main car (more details at the track)....Belfor
has also joined in as a track sponsor and with the help of Ideal Auto Wrecking and Boyd Autobody (Abbotsford) they will be running a short series of specialty races throughout the season. Stop by their pits and make them feel welcome"

If you are not going to be returning to race at Agassiz Speedway and own your transponder the club may be interested in purchasing it from you. Please contact Barb or Pat for further details.


We would like to set up a bulk e-mail group of Agassiz Speedway members. The purpose is to inform members of work parties, test & tune dates, allow access to General Meeting minutes for those who can't attend, etc. If interested, contact Pat Schepanowsky at: agassizspeedway@telus.net.

WHO WE ARE

Kent Raceways Society is a non-profit society dedicated to supporting and furthering the sport of stock car racing. The society operates Agassiz Speedway in Agassiz, B.C. It is a 1/4 mile paved oval facility. We rely on volunteers to keep the raceway operating and are proud to be entering our 39th year of race competition. We are pleased to be able to support numerous youth and adult groups in and around our community.

RACING CLASSES

Sportsman: These race cars are completely fabricated from the ground up. Powered by V8 engines and use fiberglas/plastic bodies.

Street Stock: This class uses V8 powered, original steel bodied, mid-size cars from the 70's/80's. Minimal modifications are allowed.

Mini Stock
: A 4-cylinder powered class using modified, import style, cars and trucks.

Hornet
: A basic entry level class using import style cars, maximum 4-cylinder, with no modifications except for safety.
